Try Googling “Twitter Rocket” & you’ll come up with a couple of results pages, with both good & bad reviews of Twitter Rocket.

That’s to be expected, it’s become common now to “doss” a product in an effort to garner a prospective buyers attention, then subtly steer them to whatever you are promoting.

One website “review” was particularly eye catching however, you’ll see it if you do the Google search.

But before that, & to create some balance, you first need to read this post from The UpstartBlogger:

I stumbled on this tussle today, when I had a Wordpress email alerting me to a new pingback on my website.

Sure enough, someone was quoting excerpts from my post yesterday, in an effort to bolster his/her negative arguments on Twitter Rocket. I quickly fired off this comment, hoping to (but never expecting to), see it published.

I came to your site when Wordpress alerted me to a link you had done to mine, Lazymanstraffic

From what I can see you have a real vendetta against the creator of Twitter Rocket, & why, for the life of me I can’t figure out. Maybe the latest post on The UpstartBlogger is pertinent?

Feel free to continue to quote my website, as Ashley & I’ll likely get some sympathy sales of Twitter Rocket.

As expected there was no response.

Try finding that website now…

Can you see any connection?

I probably shouldn’t be wading into an online battle here, but like I said at the outset, I hate a bully!

Back to Day 2 tactics with Twitter Rocket!

I plan on posting a brief update on my progress in developing a strong Twitter following with Twitter Rocket. I purchased TR with the prime intention of:

- learning how to manage followers.
- learning how to responsibly grow my followers.
- learning how to “Twitter” , e.g. re tweet, tweet, FollowFriday etc

So far Twitter Rocket has delivered on all it’s promises. My account, @lazymanstraffic started on Day 1 with zero followers. I diligently followed the 5 daily instructions, & nothing else.

Today, Day 7, my account shows 726 followers. I’d say that was a success, & I do plan on repeating the 5 day process, in order to expand my network more rapidly.

A couple of things I would have done differently.

- I made my Twitter name, @lazymanstraffic, the same as an old website I owned, thinking it was a catchy name, but should have checked the status of the domain first. Turns out it’d been de-indexed by Google. I have no idea why, but suspect it was due to some articles I’d acquired from a “trusted source” that turned out to be duplicates. I’ve since removed all content I believe may have contributed to the de-index, & have applied to Google for re-inclusion.

- I should have set some tracking system to gauge how may clicks came to my bio during my set up phase. Not essential, but nice to know.

So far so good. No sales to the affiliate program yet, but then I never expected to either.

I must say I would have liked to see Twitter Rocket to have included a brief guide on the Twitter Basics, e.g. re-tweeting, tweeting, DM’s etc. I know that instruction is available on the net, but it would be nice to have it all in one place.

Next weeks target = 2,000 followers!
